1) there is no alarming illegal immigration issue.
2) there is no official language of the USA, the language is decided by its population. are puerto ricans amercan citizens? yes, is their native language spanish? yes. should they be forced to give up there culture because some ignorant red neck thinks he is superior? ahhhhhh no.
what about hawaiians, is their native language  english?
4) i demand  los angeles be renamed  "the  angels"
5) illegal immigration has ALWAYS been a problem, why is suddenly such a BIG problem now? why is so important to crack down now, to spend billions building a fucking wall that isn't going to keep anybody out, that is going to take an increase in law enforcement authorities and a large budget to staff? they are building a wall around the "land of the free" and nobody seems think that's a bit strange in an oxymoronic kind of way.
6) how do YOU know this is an issue? don't regurgitate some bullshit you heard on cnn or bill o'rielly.  say what you think! what do you see now that you never saw before that makes you say yeah this is getting out of hand. be real......things that you never saw before, if your a kid then STFU because you haven't been around long enough.

spend the fucking money and passion into making this country a better place, stop raping the lands from where these people come from and then you won't have to worry about some wet back picking your strawberries for you.
no money for schools or heath care or social security, but we have billions for a fucking wall!
wake up for gods sake.

And what kind of immigration do you see in NJ?  Give me a break.  How many immigrants are in Sayreville?

It's relative my friend. People in TX and FL are going to feel a lot stronger about this issue as it effects them a lot more than you.

how they feel is dictated to them. yes it is true.
there are a lot of ways to deal with the "problem" of illegal immigration.
sure i agree just as much as anyone that illegal immigration is wrong, but that doesn't mean it isn't being blown out of purportion on purpose. that people's emotions aren't being played upon, that there isn't a hidden agenda.
not all illegals are rapists and murders and not all are getting or abusing gov programs like health care and welfare.
you say that there aren't as many illegals from my area and so the issue is relative. ok lets go with that, assuming that is true then how would you explain the heightened anti-illegal sentiments that people from my area feel?  see what i'm saying here? if the premise is that we (NJ) don't have nearly as many illegal immigrants then why do so MANY new jerseyites point to illegals as a significant source for their quality of life issues?
its because they are reading and believing what is be reported.
according to your premise most people from my parts should feel like me because they have little reason to feel otherwise......but they don't. why?

Probably because you all just had an illegal that was arrested for murder because our system failed to deport him on his first charges and he was let go for who knows what reason.

We claimed this land (by force and regardless of what you think, that just is the way it was back then)when there was no formal America. Once the formal country boundaries were put in place, only then can we make the distinction. Were the Indians here before us, sure, but that is ancient history. The clear fact right now is that people not from this country are streaming across our boarders and trying to get in every day. If 9/11 did one thing it did force the protection of our borders in a quicker fashion then it would have been without it.

But, that doesn’t make it a good argument, does it? Slavery is a past event. Racial segregation is a past event. Vietnam is a past event. But many people won’t be convinced if they’re just told that they ought to dismiss failures and mistakes made in the past because they happened a long time ago, will they?

If 9/11 did one thing it did force the protection of our borders in a quicker fashion then it would have been without it.

Also the government’s claim is a very very questionable one.

But neither of these are essential. The current immigration problem is largely created by NAFTA. To sum up, farmers in Mexico are not subsidized while agriculture in US is heavily subsidized, so this agreement is nothing but free trade; this drove many of them into poverty. This is why they’ve been illegally immigrating to US; they’re trying to survive. I don’t say that this is perfectly ok from the viewpoint of morals and ethics, BUT discussing about morals and ethics is pretty intangible. What’s productive is not to make agreements like NAFTA and not to make policies that adversely affect those outside of US border.

Has anyone watched the video called "immigration gumballs" on you tube? It speaks to the madness of believing that the worlds (people) problems can be solved by immigrating to the USA (legally or illegally). The main shift needs to be - help inside the countries that are losing citizens to immigration. It is impossible to solve the worlds problems by letting anyone/everyone immigrate to the USA.
An excellent site to get involved in a grass roots movement on numerous subjects (immigration, security, health care, education, etc....) is http://www.americansolutions.com. Non-partisan and free.
If you want to participate in the fight against amnesty and illegal immigration, go to http://www.numbersusa.com
Thanks for starting The American Voters!!!!!
