Due to the subject and very passionate emotions people have about it, we have set up the anonymous guest posting to encourage participation from people who might not otherwise feel comfortable.
You continue to bring up the UN and what they have come up with. What have they done to enforce any of thier own rules, regulations and statements/beliefs??
All be it, I think the UN is a waste of time, efforts and resources, it servers only one purpose now. THEMSELVES... They wont even enforce thier own doctrine...

They wont even enforce thier own doctrine...They don't have the power to enforce any of their ideas. It is a profound idea, just not widely adopted. I do agree that at this point, the UN is a complete and total waste of time, and is totally useless (they refused to recognize the Sudan Genocide for years; I guess they did not want to get involved). We need the right people running it, is all. (and we don't)
As for your post above this one. Even if I did think we should use torture to get information, we are not even doing it in their native language sometimes. That is just cruel. If they cannot understand what you want to ask, how are they going to answer it?
We cannot go back to the days of Hamurabi's Code. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. I am all for safety, but I will go at anything to protect man's universal liberties (hehe, you can probably tell. ).
