It's awkward but I know exactly what you are saying. And it would just be weird, I doubt they will have him as the primary as that will be a downfall to people who don't actually read about candidates but go based on names and popularity, he simply will not cut it.
Are you SERIOUSLY negating his ability to bring people together, form a unified vision and provide a sense of hope in difficult times because you don't like his name!? I am aghast at how superficial that is.
Choosing our next president is vitally important to regaining our stature in the global community and Obama is more than capable of bringing that about.
His experience in the Senate is limited, but much like Kennedy he seems able to bring people together in ways that other candidates are unable.
I believe Obama would make an excellent president.
It is superficial, but think about it... so is this country!
An uninformed voter will not vote for him because of his name. I agree he would probably make a great president but I just don't think it will happen because, as sad as it is, America is a superficial country.
When Angel said she couldn't get behind Obama and you replied that you understood I mistook this to mean that you agreed with her and seconded the notion.
Nonetheless I think this is a pitiful example of terribly biased and uninformed our citizenry can be.
Granted simply basing information of a name is superficial, however I agree with the prior 2 posts. I personally feel that theres more underlying than what we see! As a Christian, I feel that perhaps if elected he will do a great job the first 4 years just to get relelection. Then I feel if re-elected the next 4 years will be pure "hell". I feel the first 4 years would be real smoothe and no problems , maybe even midstream.I just get the feeling that he will flip flop. Maybe this is crazy to say but I agree with some of the things discussed with others that it wouldnt suprise me to find out if "Re-elected" to see his wife walking around will a full head piece to represent the muslim faith!
