My fiancee does work for a program called Diplomatic Observers and as such was present at both the Democratic and Republican debates in NH. There is a distinct difference between actually speaking one on one to the candidates and watching the debates on TV (or online).

The democratic candidates were for the most part far more accessible to those who were allowed into the media spin room after the debates than were the republicans.
